I have reached the point where I need to work the right and left cable on the sleeve, and again, the chart isn't working. Row one is fine; row two is not. For the right cable, I knit into the front and back of the stitch right after the marker, which leaves me 8 stitches to work. However, the chart shows 9 stitches left to work.
Is anyone else to this point? How did you solve it?

I am at this spot too - the cable cannot be worked after the increase is done because it does not leave a purl stitch to do so. I played and switched the cables (left to right and viceversa) and moved in five stitches on each side, but not sure I'm liking it. I may rip back and keep the placement the same but again switch the cable charts. Or, I may do an extra row for the increase before starting the cables. Thoughts?
Ok, this is a tricky spot in the pattern. Here's what I did:
Say you are working the right cable. Instead of working into the front and back of the purled stitch (which purled stitch also needs to be crossed), I purled into the row below (thus gaining the extra stitch needed). This leaves one purl available to be crossed with the cable.
On the left cable, I did the crossing, then knit the cable; this leaves no stitch to increase into. However, you can again purl into the row below, and the result looks Ok.
I hope this makes sense... The problem is that you need to increase into the same purl stitch that you need to cross. So I crossed the purl stitch and did the increase into the row below.
I made an extra row of increases. That way I gained extra stitch on both sides and crossed a purl stitch that I increased the row below it.
what if you moved the increases to the odd rows? It wouldn't interfere with the cable crosses.....
Hoo boy. Just ran into this problem today. I'm thinking I'm going to frog back a row (sigh) and do the increases on the odd rows, because it looks like you need an extra stitch for each cable row on the chart...
