Lovely, Lovely

I looked at all of the lovely progress this morning and I decided that I wasn't going to post my woes on the sight. If you'd like to feel even better about how you're doing, you can read about my anti-progress here.

Rosi, I've just ripped out a sleeve. Granted it did not have 400 stitches, but knitting it on the dpns was so slow, it felt like 400 stitches. Part of the beauty of knitting is that you can take things apart and correct the mistakes. You can also think of this as... getting twice the knitting pleasure from the same quantity of yarn! I'm sure you will have a beautiful sweater in the end.

I started three times and at one point I had already devided the sleeves from the body and then ripped it again. And I still managed to make a mistake on the sleeves. This is not an easy design, but I saw on your blog the beautiful lace shawls you make (and how many stitches did they have towards the end?)so I know you can finish this sweater. Your yarn looks so beautiful, it will make a lovely raglan.

Thanks for the pep talk. You're right of course. I'd only be knitting something else, anyway. I knit like a maniac yesterday and am now 3 rows away from separating the sleeves.
