Not only do I knit Continental style but I knit from the back of a stitch. Now in the pattern when it says K1F&B do I knit from the back first the way I usually do?
I'm a continental knitter as well, and when I see that instruction I either 1) turn the stitch around so it's facing the way it would be facing if you knit regular style, and then knit into the front and back of the stitch, or 2) just do an increase instead (which I think looks neater because you don't get that horizontal bar between the two stitches). By an increase, I mean, knit the first stitch, then insert your needle into the bar between the just-knit stitch and the next stitch and, twisting it so as to avoid creating a hole, knit another stitch to create an increase. I did the latter when I knit this sweater, and I preferred it to kfb. Hope this helps!
